While DLR guarantees the labor and installation structural integrity for 12 months, the physical products we install carry independent, long-term manufacturer warranties. We strategically build with elite, field-tested material brands—such as Schluter-Systems for uncompromised bathroom tile waterproofing, and AZEK or Trex for low-maintenance composite decking. If a component ever fails due to a factory material defect, we directly assist you in processing the manufacturer's structural product warranty replacement.

Standard Exceptions & Warranty Exclusions

Environmental & Natural Limitations

While DLR Construction engineers every project to exceed local Ohio building codes, our workmanship and product warranties strictly do not cover damage caused by external environmental factors outside of our installation control. This includes severe Acts of God such as lightning strikes, structural flooding, tornadoes, or extreme weather events. Furthermore, we do not cover structural shifts or cosmetic cracking resulting from natural ground shifting, soil erosion, or environmental settling occurring over time across your property.

Normal Wear & Home Maintenance

Our structural carpentry and waterproofing guarantees are designed to protect against installation defects, not the typical aging process of a home. This warranty strictly excludes normal wear and tear from everyday residential use. This includes expected material aging, surface scuffs, minor wood checking or fading on composite decks from UV exposure, and typical grout or sealant degradation that occurs naturally over time and requires standard homeowner maintenance.

  • Yes. DLR Construction is a fully licensed, insured, and bonded remodeling contractor. We engineer every kitchen remodel, bathroom renovation, home addition, and porch build to meet or exceed strict Ohio residential building codes, giving you complete protection and peace of mind.

  • No. Our workmanship warranty specifically covers installation and structural mechanics. It strictly excludes Acts of God (such as lightning, wind, or storm damage), soil erosion, and natural ground shifting occurring over time. These events fall outside of installation control and are typically handled through standard homeowner's insurance policies.

  • Homeowners are responsible for normal wear and tear and routine property maintenance. This includes tasks like monitoring grout lines, maintaining exterior caulking or sealants, and general cleaning. Damage resulting from prolonged neglect or third-party modifications after project completion is not covered under our 1-year craftsmanship guarantee.
