Kitchen Project Goals
The homeowners wanted a kitchen that felt larger, brighter, and more customized to their lifestyle. The existing space lacked the premium finishes and efficient layout they envisioned, so the project focused on combining functionality with high-end design details that would make a lasting impression.
Custom Cabinet Installation
One of the most significant upgrades was the installation of custom-ordered cabinetry throughout the kitchen. To maximize storage and create a more upscale appearance, we installed 36-inch upper cabinets that extended higher toward the ceiling than standard cabinetry.
This design choice not only provided additional storage space but also helped draw the eye upward, making the kitchen feel larger and more open.
To complete the built-in look, crown molding was installed above the cabinets, eliminating empty space and creating a seamless transition between the cabinetry and ceiling.
Herringbone Tile Backsplash
One of the standout features of this project is the custom herringbone tile backsplash. Herringbone installations require precise planning, layout, and craftsmanship to ensure every pattern aligns correctly and maintains consistency throughout the space.
The finished backsplash adds movement, texture, and visual interest while complementing the clean lines of the cabinetry and countertops. It's a detail that immediately catches attention and became one of our favorite aspects of the entire renovation.
