Exterior Renovation, Hardscaping & Drainage Improvements – Northeast Ohio
This exterior renovation project focused on improving curb appeal, safety, and water management while delivering a great look at a more cost-effective price point. The project began with the removal of unused, failing steps leading to the garage, along with the demolition of old concrete pads and surrounding landscaping.
We installed new vinyl board-and-batten style skirting to clean up the home’s exterior appearance, along with a new white vinyl handrail featuring black aluminum spindles for a modern, high-contrast finish. Existing stoops were power washed, acid washed, and sealed to restore their appearance and protect the concrete from future wear.
To address drainage issues, we rerouted the downspout drain and graded a swale to direct water away from the house and garage foundation. A new solid landscaping block retaining wall was constructed around the perimeter of the garage where the concrete pads are located, providing both structural support and a clean, finished look.
The rear patio was removed and replaced, including new retaining walls and proper drainage to ensure long-term durability. After removing the garage steps, the area was converted into a mulch bed, filled with fresh mulch, and finished with hay to promote grass regrowth.
New concrete pads were poured in front of the garage, replacing the old pads and completing the project with updated landscaping. The final result is a refreshed, functional exterior that improves drainage, safety, and overall appearance—delivering high impact without the cost of a full rebuild.
