Creating a Sauna-Style Shower in a Bathroom Remodel

Multi-function shower heads were installed to enhance comfort and flexibility, allowing the user to adjust spray patterns and water pressure to suit relaxation or everyday use. When paired with an enclosed design, these fixtures help distribute heat evenly throughout the space, contributing to the sauna-style feel without increasing water waste. Thoughtful placement ensures full coverage while maintaining comfort in a compact footprint.

Lighting inside an enclosed shower must be carefully planned. Private, moisture-rated lighting was integrated to maintain visibility without glare, even when steam is present. This ensures the space feels comfortable and inviting rather than closed in. Privacy was also a priority, with the enclosure providing a secluded experience while remaining visually clean and open from the outside.

Behind the finished surfaces, the project required coordinated plumbing and electrical upgrades, along with precise drywall finishing, mudding, and sanding to create seamless transitions throughout the bathroom. New faucets and a vanity upgrade completed the space, tying functionality and aesthetics together. Every detail was executed with moisture control, safety, and longevity in mind.

The completed shower delivers consistent warmth, minimal steam escape, and a spa-like environment that transforms daily use into a relaxing experience. This project demonstrates that with proper enclosure, material selection, and technical execution, a sauna-style shower can be successfully achieved even in limited space.

This short video showcases the completed sauna-style shower, featuring a fully enclosed glass design, five integrated shower heads, custom lighting, and a tiled cathedral ceiling.
