It all begins with an idea. We were so excited when we saw the rock walls, we just had to gain the trust of our customers to believe in such a unique idea! Our favorite jobs are the ones we’ve never done before!

Biopic;

Every single member of DLR wanted to be a part of this deck job and there’s a good reason. Rarely do we get opportunities to do unique customizations to projects, especially decks. The best jobs are jobs that change on a daily basis, due to new ideas coming to light.

This customer wanted a fairly large back deck, along with some bilco doors raised to accommodate the new deck height. After seeing these rocks littered around our workspace, we approached them with tons of questions about the layout.

After understanding everything our customer wanted, we started digging holes for posts. Once we got our posts secured, installed the rim boards and floor joists, it was on to the deck boards.

What we decided on using was a scribe tool to trace the structure of the rocks onto the deck boards and a jig-saw for easier cuts.

Understandably, it was very time consuming, but the final results were beyond what we imagined for this job and we were happy to do everything they imagined.

Another job well done!
